It is saddening and often devastating to find out that we or someone we care about has been diagnosed with a disease or debilitating condition. In a day, an hour, a moment, our life can get turned upside down.
Fortunately, a diagnosis is not the end. My motto is that “if you’re still breathing, it is not too late to turn things around.”
While we may notice symptoms along the way, many serious diseases have been developing and growing over time- often for many years. With some exceptions, there are usually warning signs. Sometimes these warning signs can seem “normal”. Often by the time a disease is detected, it has advanced over time to point that makes it now detectable.
Different conditions and diseases may have different symptoms, and yet good health is the common goal. We cannot control everything in this world, but we can certainly change what we believe and what we act upon. We all want to be healthy, energetic, full of life, and happy!
And regardless of our current health, we can make choices that will enable us to grow healthier each day.
Our current health and conditioning is simply a result of our daily choices up until this moment. The great news is, each moment is a chance for us to choose what we do next.
We have basic needs: nutrition, hydration, adequate sleep, exercise, positive thoughts.
And yet within each of those areas, there is so much left open for interpretation. For every opinion on a topic, you will find a completely opposing opinion. This is true for most anything. What I encourage you to do, is question everything. Don’t just accept what someone says. If you don’t find what you are looking for, keep on looking & asking.
Cancer and other disease cannot easily survive in a healthy body.
Our bodies inherently know how to heal themselves- if we allow them to. If we remove the obstacles in our way, we can absolutely be healthy & vibrant. Health is not simply the absence of disease. Headaches, digestive issues, acid reflux, constipation, low sex drive- these may be deemed “common” but that does not make them normal or okay. Symptoms are a sign that we are out of balance. Something is compromised.
According to dictionary.search.yahoo.com, the term “common” is defined as “widespread; prevalent”. This is not an indication that it is normal or conducive to good health. The term “healthy” is defined “possessing good health”.
There are countless sources of toxins that we encounter over the course of our day. They are in food, water, air, beauty products, household cleaners, bedding, air, cookware, etc.
Learning to identify the sources of toxins & limiting your exposure to them is a good step toward leading a healthy life. Knowledge is power.
For any harmful product or substance, there is a healthy alternative.
Most diseases we are faced with today are lifestyle-related. Which is great news- because you have the power to create amazing health for you and your family! I would be honored to help you on your journey to a healthier, happier life!
